About Me

Tui na 推拿 and acupressure 穴位按摩 are a part of Chinese medicine, which is a healing art over five thousand years old. The style I learned and practice is qigong tui na 氣功推拿. Tui Na is perhaps the oldest system of bodywork practiced today.

Acupuncture involves releasing and connecting energy at specified points throughout the body through the use of tiny needles. Similarly, tui na, which means “pushing and grasping,” addresses the same points using manual stimulation.

Usually, you would come to a therapy session wearing loose-fitting clothes as my therapy is done with clothes on. If we decide to do cupping or gua sha, then clothing would be removed for the areas of the body where the cupping or gua sha will be performed.

Please do not wear cologne or perfume to our session as our therapy sanctuary is scent-free.

I trained at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences and am a tui na practitioner and an acupressure therapist.

For many years, I have practiced law and am still a practicing attorney. In addition, I am a real estate broker. From a young age, however, I have been interested in our bodies and healing. After being introduced to structural integration/rolfing and also Chinese medicine a few years ago, I decided to study Chinese massage and acupressure.

Healing at any time in our history is important, but it seems even more crucial during these modern times of disconnectedness, consumerism and trauma. I am a firm believer in Chinese medicine and find that tui na and acupressure have contributed to making me healthier.

I look forward to hearing from you.
